Vision

In 1989, while living in Auckland, New Zealand, María won a trip to Mexico City through a contest sponsored by Corona Beer. What seemed like a simple prize turned out to be the beginning of a profound transformation. At the time, she was working as a massage instructor at the renowned Joyce Blok academy.

María had already been exploring the power of healing. She studied cosmetology, physiatrics, and alternative therapies. She attended dozens of body release sessions based on an Osho technique, where she learned that traumas could be trapped in the muscles, and that by unlocking the body, the mind could also be set free.

In Mexico, her path led her to Tepoztlán, where she lived an alternative life with her three children, in a Huichol palapa, without electricity or running water. There, she began intuitively applying clay, witnessing real healing results among those around her. Her faith in clay grew, along with her desire to unite all she had learned in New Zealand with the teachings the Mexican land was giving her.

It was then that the vision for Mayan Clay was born. Inspired by Cristóbal, her partner, who often reminded her that the best therapy can happen under a tree, and by a mentor who taught her the importance of the environment, María decided to create a space in harmony with nature. She traveled to Palenque to collect clay and began offering therapies deep in the jungle to groups she met at campsites. Her first group was a team of scientists, who were amazed by the detoxifying effects of the clay.

Corinne Gervai, founder and director of Euphoria Yoga in Woodstock, has more than 20 years of teaching experience in New York City and in the Hudson Valley. She received her  yoga teaching certification from the Jivamukti Yoga school in 2000 after completing the one-year intensive certification program led by Sharon Gannon and David Life. Corinne taught all levels at Jivamukti Yoga in New York City from 2000-2005. Prior to that, she taught the Lotte Berk Method, which incorporates elements of yoga, dance, and therapeutic stretching. Corinne also holds certifications in Reiki and Hypnosis.

In 2005, Corinne received her advanced Jivamukti certification. Upon moving to Woodstock full time in 2005, Corinne taught locally until 2009 when she opened Euphoria Yoga. She has been a regular presenter at the Ahimsa Yoga and Music Festival, the Catskill Mountain Yoga Festival, and Woodstock Festival of Awakening. She has led several 5-day retreats at Omega Institute and taught Yoga on Retreat at Menla. 

Corinne co-leads retreats in Umbria, Italy, Tulum, Mexico, Portugal and various locations around the world in collaboration with Dror Ashuah. 

Siri Sat

Siri Sat is the founder of Sacred Yatras (formerly Kundalini Yatras), through which she has facilitated transformational retreats and journeys since 2010. She consistently leads journeys in India, Egypt, and Mexico, as well as seasonal retreats in upstate New York, inviting practitioners into a direct relationship with the lineage of these sacred lands. Her global teaching experience includes workshops and trainings across Europe, China, New Zealand, and South Africa. 

  Having made annual pilgrimages to India for over two decades, she brings a rich tapestry of cultural experience to her teachings. Participants in her retreats receive cultural insights, conscious transmission, and soul guidance from the heart of these magnificent ancient cultures. She is known for her warmth, humor, and steady presence, creating a welcoming field where students can feel seen, supported, and inspired, grounded in the belief that anyone can practice yoga, heal, and expand their awareness.

In 1996, Guru Dharam founded the International School of Kundalini Yoga (i-SKY) in the UK with Darryl O’Keeffe. I-SKY has since grown into a global network of teacher trainings. Guru Dharam and Darryl also co-authored the book The Kundalini Yoga Experience. Guru Dharam is the School Director of the Sacred Yoga Therapy Training, which he founded in 2007. Sacred Yoga Therapy is an IAYT-accredited program designed as a safe, effective and therapeutic complement to the mechanics of western medical practice, informed by his 40 years of experience helping thousands of people toward a healthier and happier life is widely recognized as a powerful and precise teacher whose methods are both impactful and esoteric, often described as a “teacher’s teacher.”
